    1. Unscheduled equipment down time
    2. Equipment set up time
    3. Excess equipment idle time
    4. Start + End of shift
    5. Total operating hours

Without STB vibration recorders, opportunities for improvement may be impossible to define. The STB Mechanised Vibration Recorder does not need any power or electric signal to provide this basic data.

Depending on what type of STB Mechanised Vibration Recorder or charts used, the recorder needs to attended only once a day or week to wind up the clock movement and insert new charts. Chart analysis equipment is also available from STB.

The STB Mechanised Vibration Recorder reacts and detects the smallest of horizontal or vertical movements, it lends itself for use in any on-off road mining, building or farming vehicle. Stationary machines, pumps or compressors are a further field of use.

The units' recording system is so sensitive, it will even pick up high voltage cable and pylon vibration to control the efficiency of anti-vibration devices.
